The Accounting Supervisor will plan and direct the department's accounting activities; directly supervise the accounting and audit staff who are responsible for financial reporting, accounts payable, revenue audit, payroll, and budget preparation.

- Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Oversees preparation of business activity reports (daily FLASH), financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Prepares schedules and journal entries to assist in monthly close process.
- Reviews the general ledger for propriety of transactions and proper classification.
- Assists with the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Assists the Controller with tax planning throughout the fiscal year and annual corporate tax return.
- Assists with payroll review and analysis.
- Oversees and reviews audits prepared by the revenue audit team to ensure proper completion and compliance with Nevada gaming regulations.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Presents recommendations to the Controller and management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Provides financial analysis.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Mentor and develop the team.
- Foster a collaborative, compliance-focused, and results-driven culture.
- Must be a knowledgeable and informed representative of the Accounting Department on behalf of the Controller.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years as a senior accountant.
- 2+ years recent work experience as an Accounting Supervisor or Manager for a hospitality/gaming company; sports betting company preferred.
- Strong MS Excel working knowledge.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate information to leadership.
- Scheduling flexibility to work evenings, weekends (on rotation to produce business reports), and holidays (these are the busiest times of the year due to the cycle of sports).
Physical Requirements:
- This is an in-office position in the Southwest Las Vegas area.
- May visit a casino property partner environment and be exposed to smoke.
- Must be able to reach, lift, bend, and kneel.
- Must be able to sit for an 8+ hour shift.
- Must be able to lift independently up to 20 lbs.
Compensation: $73,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
